Well fisherman it is March and it doesn't mean you have to put your ice fishing poles away. Make sure you get out and buy the new 2025 fishing license before you hit the water.
Remember this is the time of year when the shoreline starts to deteriorate very quickly. Typically the most unsafe ice is the first 50 yards this time of year. But it is also a great time to get on the water and go fishing.
If you're a fish in Otter Tail County make sure you read the new fishing regulations as there's been many changes to crappie limits and size restrictions on a few local lakes.
